Overview:
As the Assistant of Purchasing and Stock Control, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement and inventory management functions within the LOKA-OP Department. This role involves working closely with the purchasing team to maintain adequate stock levels and contribute to the overall efficiency of operations.
Responsibilities:
1) Purchasing Support:
- Collaborate with the purchasing team to identify reliable suppliers and negotiate terms.
- Assist in the procurement of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisitions.
2) Stock Control:
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand.
- Implement stock control measures to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
3) Order Processing:
- Process purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation.
- Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
4) Supplier Communication:
- Communicate with suppliers for product information, pricing, and order status updates.
- Address any issues or discrepancies with suppliers in a timely manner.
5) Data Management:
- Update and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier information.
- Generate reports on stock status and purchasing activities.
6) Collaboration with Other Departments:
- Work closely with other departments to understand their inventory needs.
- Coordinate with logistics and sales teams to optimize stock movements.
7) Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the purchasing and stock control functions.
- Propose and implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing or stock control roles is a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficient in using inventory management software.
